Onna Young is the founder of Life After Debt (http://http://www.lifeafterdebt.us/) an education company whose goal it is to create financial freedom and empowerment. She helps people understand their relationship with their money, debt, the debt mechanism and teaches techniques for debt reduction and increased financial prosperity.
For the past 12 years, she’s worked for some of our nation’s largest lenders as an Underwriter and National Account Executive. She has witnessed the secret financial lives of an estimated 250,000 people in her career working for AmeriCredit Financial, WFS Financial, Fremont Investment and Loan, Encore Credit a division of Bear Stearns, and db-home lending, a division of Deutche Bank.
Her passion projects include giving loving support to start-up businesses that seek to create a better world: PebbleStorm (http://http://www.pebblestorm.com/) a company whose goal it is to help 100M people change the way they make money through enjoyment, by 2057, Global Do.Gooders (http://http://www.globaldogooders.net/) an organization that creates internship opportunities for high-school students to learn social entrepreneurship.
She has authored e-books: Life After Debt: the 7 Debt Myths and Lyme Lyfe which publishes December, 2010. She’s a contributing author of Unique Genius and A Bootstrapper’s Guide to Launching a Business, which publish in 2011. And is creating a series of children's learning books.
She is a regular volunteer at Readingtokids.org, Play It Forward Adventures – Los Angeles (www.PIF.com), Education Africa Foundation (www.educationafricafoundation.org), She lives a life she loves in Los Angeles, CA.
